Free radicals damage and eventually destroy our cells. When the
cell is destroyed it is essentially 'dead' and this is how we get

Basically free radicals are formed when oxygen gets into our system, but in the wrong places. When this happens the oxygen chemically reacts with other atoms and free radicals are formed as a consequence.
The free radicals then go on a hunting spree, trying to steal and eat-up all of the electrons within that cell molecule. When it successfully does this, that molecule is then also made into a free radical and so it continues on with free radicals eating up and destroying all of our healthy cells.
The good news is that we can consume large amounts of antioxidants which are known to fight against free radicals and consequently save our healthy cells. If our cells are saved and stay healthy, then this means that we get less wrinkles and our skin will look and feel good.
External aging occurs through environmental factors such as the sun and other pollutants which are around us every day. The sun or any ultra violet light is the main factor which ages us and is totally in our control.
The Sun
The sun damages our skin big time, period! It might not
show until after a few years, but it will definitely catch up with you
so be aware. If you are a sun worshipper or go to a sub-bed shop

It can take up to ten years for the effects of sun worshipping to show it's true colors. So you might think that you are getting away with it now but it will catch up with you. Too much sun makes your skin look and feel 'leathery', is that really what you want to achieve?

Smoking

few cigarettes a day and for over a period of a number of years, but it
is a fact that smoking ages you.
It's the nicotine that is the poison because as you inhale it, it gets in the way of your blood flow and starves it of oxygen and essential nutrients. And in addition to that it also reduces the production of collagen which is essential in producing new healthy skin cells.
The result is that you are left with skin which looks ashen, dull and saggy. Not to mention yellow teeth, bad bread and wrinkles forming around your mouth and crows feet around your eyes from squinting to avoid the smoke.
